E3 SYSTEM APPROACH
All E3 solutions take a system approach to engine control, not just a component approach focused on a single parameter. The E3 provides AFR control or total engine control that includes engine speed, load, and ignition timing control. When only controlling air/fuel ratio (AFR), the E3 all-encompassing engine and emissions control monitors critical engine parameters – allowing it to detect and warn of engine mis re and other engine functions. This integrated approach eliminates clutter, wiring issues, multiple boxes, and additional protocols when using the equipment of multiple suppliers, while increasing performance and lowering overall cost.

The E3 Full-Authority controller is designed for gas engines used in applications where the energy quality of the fuel supply is variable such as engines used at lanfills, waste water treatment plants, mine gas from mines, or bio-gas recovery plants. The E3 Full-Authority controller handles gas quality changes of ±10% CH4 and changes between 20–100% CH4 with the use of an External Gas Quality Analyzer.

The E3 Lean-Burn Trim control system is designed to control lean-burn industrial gas engines used in many power generation, pumping, and other stationary applications ranging from 300 kW to 1500 kW. The highly accurate, closed-loop control system helps customers meet regulated emission levels, while maintaining engine performance over a very large range of fuel qualities.
